Supporting The Wiseman Trust

November 15th, 2016

Last week, we attended the ‘23rd Annual Queen Charlotte’s Race Nigh Classic’ at the Landmark Hotel in aid of The Wiseman Trust – A charity which was set up in 1994 by Colin and Julie Wiseman following the heart breaking loss if their identical twin boys, Richard and Jack Wiseman as a result of Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS).

The Wiseman Trust have been raising money to fund the research into TTTS which is a disorder of the placenta that affects identical twins either during early pregnancy or shortly after birth and unfortunately, most often results in death. If the disease is untreated, the survival rate for the twins is approximately 10-15%.

TTTS has been the cause of death for thousands of babies and the cause of distress for thousands of parents. The Wiseman Trust has made it their mission to find the cause and one day, a cure for this heart-rending condition.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank The Wiseman Trust for hosting such an amazing event which was thoroughly enjoyed by our legal team.
