Chesham Carnival
Despite there being a 75% chance of rain at 12:00pm last Saturday, there were only a few spots of rain. It was a warm, pleasant day with some sunshine and much-needed cloud cover.
The Lennons Solicitors stall was manned by our specialist family law, commercial and employment law solicitors, Jenny Russell, Hana Kmotrasova and Bhavna Patel. Lots of people came over to say hello, and there was a lovely atmosphere with everyone on good form. It was great to catch up with friends, colleagues and clients in the town, as well as meeting new people.
There were lots of local businesses and charities with stalls including Chesham Rotary, who were discussing their fantastic work abroad with the rotary organisation seeking to eradicate polio and WorkAid also had a stall encouraging people to donate old manual sewing machines they no longer use, as well as old tools which could be made good use of in other countries.
We were happy to give space on our stall to our charity of the year, the Hospice of St. Francis in Chesham. Jamie Smith was at the stall with us as their representative and was finding people to sign up for the Midnight Walk on Saturday 28th June. Marilyn Young from our office has arranged a team to undertake the walk. The Mayor of Chesham is also undertaking the walk and posed for photographs with Jamie and myself, and with Bhavna.
